Just think: The “wedding” of words with music – and music with words – evokes feelings that at times are difficult to describe, yet absolutely undeniable. These emotions allow us to be human, and they are a marvelous gift. This evening’s performance is a concert of songs that weave a rich tapestry of feelings through our lives that becomes more complex as time moves on – and life is lived. Explore these feelings through songs and arias by a variety of composers, including Robert Schumann, Jules Massenet, Harold Arlen, and Yip Harburg, to name but a few.
